Deflection rollers made of our KOILON material have been used with success in friction driven cable elevators for many years.
Reasons for using KOILON deflection rollers are:

·        considerable reduction in running noise

·        much lighter - the deflection rollers are 75% lighter and much easier to install and remove

·        reduced gyrating mass, which benefits the drive when starting up and braking

·        cables last longer

Because KOILON deflection rollers have proved to be so successful, we have been able to compile a standard program with roller sizes ranging from a diameter of 320 to 650 mm and a width of 80 to 178 mm.
Standard rollers are cast in special moulds. The rollers are machined on the outer diameter, the crown and the hub.
We also keep a stock of blanks for standard rollers so that ready-to-use deflection rollers can be supplied with the shortest delivery times.
Of course, KOILON deflection rollers can also be supplied in other dimensions, manufactured to customer requirements.

The use of KOILON deflection rollers in cable elevators has been approved by the TÜV.
